Important Notice on the changes in TradeSTAT
This year the methodology for the estimation of trade data has been revised (to take advantage of the wealth of trade partner, mirror, data and full available FAOSTAT modelling capacities).
So, due to this new appraoch users can expect to find time series breaks for TradeSTAT circa 1990.
TradeSTAT: detailed trade data The new FAOSTAT TradeSTAT module contains detailed agricultural trade data from 1961 to 2005. The agricultural trade data are detailed official data, provided electronically (CD-ROMs, etc.) by over 100 countries/ territories on an annual basis. The original files are standardised, processed and validated by the Statistics Division.
The designations employed and the presentation of materials in FAOSTAT do not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city or area or its authorities, or concerning the delimination of its frontiers or boundaries.
Where the designation "country" or "area" appears on this internet site, it covers countries, territories or areas.
